Surprised? I am.
Suri Cruise’s Mom, Katie Holmes, has joined the ranks of fellow actresses Natalie Portman, Kate Hudson, and Alicia Silverstone, as the new face of Philippine based fashion company, Kamiseta.
When asked why he chose Katie, Kamiseta President/CEO Gunn Roque III have this to say: "Katie was chosen because as an actress, she really transforms in front of the camera. She can naturally change mood and respond to the photographer." Gunn even added, "Katie's style and persona fits that of a Kamiseta girl."
REALLY? And that persona would be?
Sorry, I’m confused.
According to sources, Katie wanted to shoot in Vancouver, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the shoot was held at Pasadena.

For one thing, Katie looks really young there. For a 32-year old, I mean. Not the Katie I usually see on Perez. Haha. I kid, I kid. But yeah, she does look prettyairbrushed young and glowing here. Pretty much like back when she was still Joey Potter in Dawson’s Creek. Agree?
But what really surprised me is seeing Katie model for Kamiseta. I mean, SERIOUSLY.
We’re all used to seeing her on the red carpet and modeling for brands like Miu Miu, whose cotton blend shirt costs roughly around $490. And here we see Katie wearing that plain white T-shirt with the word Kamiseta written across the chest. And that shirt costs, what? $24?
Definitely far-fetched from the haute couture-wearing Mrs. Cruise.
