Bruni and French President Nicolas Sarkozy arrived in Madrid on Monday at the start of a two-day state visit aimed at reinforcing cooperation between France and Spain... not sure how cooperative the ladies feel after stepping out in almost identical frocks..
Looks like someone meet there match!

Founder of BIBA,the store that changed teenage fashion during the during the 60s and 70s,is lounging her first fashion collection in 30 years!
Barbera Hulanicki began her career as a freelance illustrator before founding Biba with her husband. Biba became a hangout for the 60s rock generation and a target for fashionistas world wide.
Hulanickis collection goes on sale today.
They say there’s no such thing as perfection, and that she doesn’t exist.
Oh trust me, SHE DOES.
You call her insecure.
You call her clingy.
You call her shallow and jealous.
You say she’s nagging.
You call her overly sensitive and emotional.
You call her dramatic and annoying.
So go ahead. Leave the insecure, clingy, jealous, nagging, overly sensitive, annoying girl. She will soon be much happier in the arms of someone who actually deserves her: the perfect boyfriend.
It may sound customary, but most of them still prefer the tall, slim figured girl, with perfect facial features. It doesn't matter if she's not much of a braniac, as long as she's a "trophy" -- you know, those high-maintenance girls who are perfect for showing off to your boy friends.
There are also a few who would rather go for the "brains" rather than the "beauty" cuz, according to them, most "brainy" girls are actually low-maintenance. Ha! That's what you think.
Well, most of them are fortunate enough to have the girl of their dreams. Some may say they are happy and contented, but some would always come up with complains like, "She's way too clingy" or "She's not the girl I used to know" and the list would probably go on forever. Every guy's excuses are as endless as their sexual fantasies.
What puzzles me is how they seem to be always asking for more. Like their already too long list suddenly added up a few more conditions, and their former miss "dream girl" is now miss "goodbye girl". Pathetic, right?
What can I say? Boys will always be boys. Nothing's going to change that. Whatever flaw we may see in them is perfection for them. There is nothing to modify, the only thing that needs to be changed, for them, is their partner. Nothing more, nothing less.
So for us girls who have been called insecure, clingy, shallow, jealous, nagging, overly sensitive, emotional, dramatic, and annoying… CONGRATULATIONS! We may now call ourselves THE PERFECT GIRLFRIEND.

Our helpers are out on vacation for two weeks and my sister and I are left in charge of the household while the oldies are at work. Plus, we are also left with the arduous task of looking after the youngsters.
Rondell is okay. He doesn't need looking after that much, although you need to remind him to take a bath and help with cleaning the house. Haha. Kyle, on the other hand, is a total pain in the arse. He's always out of the house and we always have to like find him cuz Mom would totally kill us if we don't. I kid. But yeah, he never stays put and he would usually come up with crazy ideas. Just two days ago he decided to take care of doves. Yes, doves. He even begged Mom to buy a cage for his dove. The next day, Mom came home with a HAMSTER CAGE. Hahahaha. Kyle's reaction was priceless! Kam and I couldn't stop laughing our arses off. Hahaha. And James is… well, babies will always be babies. Although he seems responsible enough for a three year old tot.
Anyway, OMG, I can't believe how complex it is to be in charge of the house. Like my sister and I have to be up before Mom and Tita leave for work, we have to give the kids their vitamins, prepare lunch, put them to sleep in the afternoon, clean the house, wash the dishes, prepare dinner… OMG, I could go on forever! We washed our all our clothes last Saturday. We do have like laundry services here in the Flips, but it would probably cost us an arm an a leg judging my the number of clothes that needs to be washed. Haha.
By now, I could totally see how difficult it is to be a housewife or even a maid. I so appreciate all their efforts to keep the house spotless and in order. I swear, I lost more than 5lbs in just two days. I can't hardly eat well cuz all I can think about is what to do next and how tired I am. I don't even have the time to like sit down and surf the net cuz I'd rather just lie on my bed and sleep. So today is simply a bonus. In other words, we finished all the chores earlier than anticipated. Haha.
My sister and I were talking about what we'd do once our helpers our back. We were thinking of like having the time of our lives. Hahaha. We're planning on leaving the house for like three whole days, leave our phones at home, and party our hearts out. Hahaha. But whatevs, I'm not a party girl, so my sister would probably be the only one who would do that. I think I'm just going to sleep for two days straight. Hahaha. I'm pretty sure Mom won't allow me to sleep over at B's. Hahaha.
Ho-hum… I'm really, really, REALLY tired. I can't even find time to edit this crap. Plus, I look awful. I'm trying to beauty myself while doing chores, but it's utterly unattainable. Ugh.
K, I'm going to rest now.
Will update you guys soon.
Love, love.

If that mockingbird won't sing, Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring.
If that diamond ring turns brass, Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass.

If that horse and cart fall down, you'll be the sweetest little boy in town.
So, hush little baby, don't you cry, Daddy loves you and so do I.
Southern lullaby written by unknown. Am I the only one, what is up with the tragedy in our lullabies? But, I love the persistence of it all. If this horrible thing happens to your most precious thing, well then we will just do this. And quite matter of fact. I wonder if this is a Southern thing? My Mother and I were brought up the same way. Never stop and don't look back. But, surely this isn't only a Southern state of mind?
Anyway, it has come the time to sell the crib. You can find at Fabulous Finds & Co. I assume all you ladies understand how difficult this decision is. To have another and not. Oh.. that is THE QUESTION. So, obviously you can see what our decision has become. I think this is a final decision that leaves our hearts a bit sad. Or, at least for me. I think because it seems so final. This is a feeling you can not describe without feeling a bit of a foul. But, you wise women that have gone through this surely understand where I am coming from. So, I had an urge to share the nursery my dear son had a few years back. It was a room done on a tight budget and a room with no great ambiance. Four walls, two windows and a double mirrored closet door. Ugh... But, I tried to make the best of it. This was my first experience with making custom bedding. What a thrill!!! I was so lucky to have a local discount fabric store where I scored all my silks and such. You would have thought I was having a girl... I know... But, my thought was to make it a room that I adored. A sanctuary of sorts. I did know that I would spend many hours with my son, soothing and calming him. This wasn't a room that I had to worry about a TV for my hubby or anything for another human. Just me. A room to soothe my soul as well, while I was caring to my son. Huh... although I had no idea how late and how many! So, this is what I created with my Mom's final approvals. I've always been a bit of a fabric freak. My Mom has quite style, but her heart doesn't skip a beat on a fabric like mine. So, anyway I had a silk bed skirt and cover on the dresser. Cover for the crib with gold feathers that my Mom picked up for more glam. I was so blessed to have Kimberly Booher able to turn a regular ugly bleached changing table and green 60's armore into a work of art. She has been my Mom's assistant for 18 years, more family than anything and is quite the little artist. So, off to the local thrift stores I went and Kimberly was there to turn them into little pieces of art for us.
I am sure that I felt many times like John Galliano when he said "they just don't get me and I don't get them". One of my dear friends told me my son would surely choke on the netting. But, I kept the vision. He has obviously survived. It was a special place for both of us and I am sure my husband enjoyed it as well. So, I thought on this day I should share this very special and private place with my favorite friends.

Date night
To walk down the aisle at your weddingI think I'll take the red salsa gown and learn how to salsa quick. But, I think in that gown my hubby wouldn't be watching my dance steps too closely. So, I'd get a bonus date night out of it. Would that make it an investment piece? I think so. Two for one. Let's see what he says.

It may have been a little too late, but this is definitely my time.
I'm going through a not-so-rough phase in my life.
I am FINALLY letting go of the past and starting a new and better chapter in my life.
It's time for a change... a new beginning...
...time to set my priorities
...and let go of the what if's and regrets
It's time to accept myself for who I am and what I have become as a person.

I passed on a shoulder baring little number today and found a gal wearing it at the next store. Well... she looked cute. But, how many are out there? Besides not running into your same outfit, vintage gives the advantage of going green. That's why I wear vintage boots and jackets. Labels: Fashion

Alright! The first egg found!
Found another one!Poppi helps Christian with the search.
Where or where can they be?
A child's special garden chair and another egg hidden under the tree.
Christian is so proud of his and Granna's Easter decorating in his room at their home. You would have thought he planned it all himself! At least, he does.
Special Easter baskets made with love by Granna
I used to tease my Mom about decorating all out for each occasion. But, I have begun to understand why. We are all thrilled to see the wonderment in my son's face and his huge gasps when he sees all the decorations. Thanks to him, I can see the magic of these holidays all over again.
