I know this photo has been circulating the world wide web for quite some time now, and my opinion wouldn't really matter, but whatever.

Rihanna's tattoo may seem disturbing for most of us, but if it wasn't for the whole "beating her up" thing, it would just simply look like "one of those tattoos".

If Rihanna would just finally speak up about the incident between her and Chris Brown...

Don't get me wrong. I'm not taking Chris' side.
I am a woman, and it is NEVER right to hit a woman.
That's the general rule.

I just want to hear her part of the story to clear things up.
Cuz it's getting kind of confusing whenever I hear one allegation after another.

Don't forget to smile! :)

Angels with Wings? We should all be lucky enough to meet an angel with wings here on earth. We might not always notice these angels. At first, you may have been too busy and preoccupied to see their wings. Sometimes these angels may appear as a stranger when you are in dire need and then they suddenly disappear. But, when you are truly blessed you may find an angel that stays and becomes your family member, coach, coworker or friend. Over time their true selves appear. Then, their angel wings are revealed to you in their full magnificence.

An angel is a person that pushes you to jump off the cliff so you can soar. They say "Don't worry, I'll catch you if you fall. I'm not leaving you". They say "You can do it, you can fly, you can soar, trust yourself, and use your God given talents". Or, they may just be the the child that runs and screams "Mommy!" or "Daddy!" with all their heart and soul every time you are reunited. Or your angel may be the grandparent or friend that calls and offers to take your child for a few hours in your hour of need. Or, the doctor that saved your loved one's life.

Angel wing found at Fanciful Designs

I am blessed to say my entire family, Jill "Bunny", and Janet Solomon of FrenchBlue & Co. are all my angels. I hope you too have many angels in your life. My special angel, Janet, inspired me with "Good Luck in flight... keep your wings rested, but always moving forward". We could all use a little heaven here on earth.

Isn't it generous of Sephora to give me a birthday present? I was quite surprised. I have never recieved a gift from a company before. This gives Sephora a competitive advantage. Giving gifts to their consumers shows appreciation for their customers loyalty. I just wanted to say thanks to Sephora for the birthday gift and I will make sure to inform you fellow bloggers on Sephora's lip gloss products once I pick it up.

The main Haversack collection is based on old patterns and blocks of hunting, shooting and military uniforms whilst Haversack General Garments are pieces heavily inspired by French workwear and nautical uniforms of the 30s and 40s

Chloe

Looks like Chloe is back on track! it's only the second show for Chloe’s head of design Hannah MacGibbon and all ready she has taken us bake to the dreamy days of Phoebe Philo.
The oversized trousers with turn ups were right on trend, as were the velvet ensembles. The jumpsuits and shorts were particularly charming, even the leather shorts looked surprisingly wearable

It was all so sudden…

Almost late for class… unexpected traffic… crash… police motorcycles… ambulance… people rushing… a dead person…

It wasn't someone I personally know; It was just some random pedestrian who was crossing the road. But still, it's dreadfully hard to ignore death when it's staring at you right on your face.

I still can't figure out whose fault was it…

Was it the fault of the pedestrian who crossed the road though there was a big sign that says, "BAWAL TUMAWID, NAKAMAMATAY." OR was it the bus driver who tried to beat the red light?

Well, I guess it doesn't really matter much now since the person's dead. Let's just pray that s/he finds peace wherever s/he may be.

* * *
I apologize for the crappy entry. I just don't want to elaborate much now that it's all about death (again). It just makes me really sad thinking about all those lives that have been lost and it makes me miss my Gram more.

I guess I haven't totally let go of the thought of her being dead. It's just too much to take in, but I have to live with it. Maybe in God's time, I would finally accept and face the fact that she's gone and happy with God and Gramps.

Don't forget to smile! :)

Spring is in the air! And, there isn't a home that says springtime like Karen's of Bleu Gardenia. First of all, her home is on top of the most amazing site in Laguna Beach with an ocean view to die for. She could have stopped there. But, no. When you park the first thing you notice is her amazing custom garage door and huge fabulous flowers in antique urns that flank the garage . As you walk to the door you are taken aback by gorgeous orchids in antique urns that line the walkway. When you hit the clear glass door and see inside you know you are about to go to heaven on earth. I could go on and on... She has the most incredible kitchen and bathrooms with custom marble, antique chandeliers, romantic artwork and her special touches. Who else would have a huge antique chandelier fit for a dining room table over her custom marble sink? You can see for yourself that this gal has mastered the art of filling a home with flowers, romance, and springtime.

Karen Ewart has a warehouse full of treasures at the Bleu Gardenia in Santa Ana (off the 55 freeway) that is by appointment only. Don't forget to tell her who sent you!

Happy 50th birthday to one of the most fabulous woman (sort of) in history!

BARBIE :D

I swear, you're my superhero.
I love you!

More news about our dear doll:

French pastry chef Jean-Michel Raynaud unveils a 2.1 metre high 'Barbie doll' chocolate mud cake which was made to mark the 50th anniversary of the world's most popular doll on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour. Barbie unrolled the pink carpet Monday to celebrate her 50th birthday at a life-sized version of the doll's Malibu Dream House.

NEW YORK (AFP) - - Barbie unrolled the pink carpet Monday to celebrate her 50th birthday at a life-sized version of her Malibu Dream House.

"Barbie's birthday is a celebration of 50 legendary years as a fashion icon, pop culture princess and inspiration to so many girls around the world," said Richard Dickson, general manager at Mattel's.

Celebrities were expected to pack the California beachside pad to join Barbie, the best selling doll in history and embodiment of the Californian dream of eternal youth.

The 29-centimeter (11.4-inch) beauty made her debut back at the 1959 New York Toy Fair, selling for three dollars, with outfits at between one and five dollars.

Since then she has been outfitted for 108 careers as diverse as astronaut and White House candidate, modelled for more than 70 real life couturiers, and broken up with her plastic boyfriend of 43 years, Ken.

She heads into her second half century without a wrinkle or grey hair.

A new Bathing Suit Barbie released to mark her birthday recalls the original doll with a black and white swimsuit. Her face, though, bears the hallmarks of 21st century fashion demands, described by Mattel as "a thinner jaw line, more almond-shaped eyes, fuller lips."

If anyone is feeling Barbie's age, it's the executives at Mattel.

Sales plunged 21 percent in the last quarter of 2008 and Barbie is still not completely free of her nemesis of the last seven years, a group of big-eyed, wild-haired rivals called Bratz.

Mattel last year successfully sued to prevent MGA Entertainment from making or selling Bratz, after a court ruled that its creator had conceived of the idea while he was still employed by Mattel.

However, the court granted a reprieve for Bratz so that the dolls can remain on sale through this year. -Yahoo!News

Hello there :)

Sorry for not updating (as always). I have created a new blog on a specific topic, but opted not to post the link here for a few very discrete reasons. Haha.

Anyway… Here's the latest shiz here in the Flips:

Multi-awarded Filipino rap icon, the King of Philippine Rap, Francis Magalona has passed away at the Medical City in Mandaluyong around noon today. He was 44.

Magalona, considered as a major pillar of rap music in this country, was diagnosed with leukemia in August 2008. He is survived by his wife Pia Arroyo, and children Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Elmo, Arkin, Clara, and actresses Maxene and Saab. – Y!

Sad :[
Rest in peace.

A lot of people, famous or not, have departed over the last few months. Seriously, it is very scary and alarming.

You think about death more often and how you don't want to die just yet.

Like you suddenly appreciate how short and how unpredictable life is. The occasional 'what ifs' and 'maybes' start pouring in. You think about the past, regret some of the things that you did, but still be thankful about life itself.

And sometimes, you can't help but ask yourself, "When will my time run out?" All of a sudden, you feel as if you owe everyone a great deal of gratitude and apologies. You feel like you're indebted over the littlest of things, and you just want to go to your long time foe and just hug him/her and say "I'm sorry."

Just the thought of dying scares me, and it just makes me want to huddle up in one corner and cry. Right now, I can't say that I am ready. Honestly, I've made a lot of serious mistakes in the past and I still need to fix all of them. I haven't accomplished my mission in this world yet, and I can't even say that I've already taken a step towards its fulfillment.

To top it all of, I still need to reestablish my relationship with God. It has been a long time since I last talked to Him, and like most of us, I only remember Him whenever I need His aid. Unlike my sister who makes it a point to converse with Him everyday, I usually just ignore Him. I know it's not right, but hey, everyone makes mistakes every now and then. I just need to fix it, and this time, MEAN IT.

It's frustrating how it surfaces when no one hardly knows its coming. The way it gives sadness to people, the way it erases ones reputation, the way it brings tears to everyone's eyes, and the way it kills others in a form excruciating to the soul.

Don't forget to smile! :)

Decarnin certainly proved he's still got it,showing the same signature shape as last season, now manifested as a leather biker as well as a tuxedo jacket, and often paired with new drapey harem pants, or skinny jean-cut black trousers.
Balmain has been number 1 most copied designer brand of two seasons now,
and I suspect the copying will proceed.
