Fashion has NO size.
Size does not matter when it comes to fashion. Some women fool themselves into thinking it does
or that you have to be a size zero to wear anything. Coming from a Latin culture were we embrace those curves, its sad and shocking to see what some girls go through to fit an "ideal" image. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL regardless of what size you are. Self doubt and pity are the things i find super unattractive and so does the rest of the world. All though i do critique fashion, i would never critique a size. I see women of all sizes rocking fashion and hitting all the right notes all the time. and sometimes i see them wearing things that don't flatter them as much as they could. so here are a couple things to help you along the way to looking YOUR personal best, and to help you decide what fits you like a glove.
Body chart 1
flatter your figure the most.
Body Chart 2
here is a second one that doesn't have the shapes in case you cant
see them as well.
I love this picture. any and all women are sexy. you have
to embrace yourself and your figure confidence is the most attractive thing to anyone!
Regardless of your size or shape, try new things and colors,
make sure its flattering to your figure and give it a go! Reinvention is
a woman's most powerful tool.
Take Cues from these girls. Confidence and style ooze from them!
Color and Fabric
two words that could really change a look. always ask yourself, does the fabric fit tight?
or flow with my body? does the color/pattern complement my curves or extenuate it?
does it scream or whisper? always get second opinions if you think they'll be positive
if your tummy tingles with doubt, put it back on the hanger.
Matching and Seasonal Trends
Whenever your matching any pieces together if your doing color, don't
do the matching earrings, heels, bag, shirt, etc. your not a child so don't dress like one.
use complementary colors and tones. add bits of sparkle, don't drown in it.
trends come and go, just because something is in doesn't mean you need to wear it every day.
mix it in with your clothing, you don't need to build an outfit around a trend instead build an outfit
and use something to showcase it. you don't want to be described as a "fad shopper"
Dressing for Occasions
Make sure your outfits are appropriate for whatever event your attending.
read the dress code and go in something your comfy in and feel is stylish.
whether it be simple or glamorous, always look your best!
Everyday Clothes
You know longer need an excuse to wear that new shirt you've had in that closet forever.
You never know when your going to meet someone important, whether it be in your
business or school or work. dress up. your a woman, and a woman should always be on point.
Regardless of your size or occupation you should always be ready, clean and presentable.
Playing Dress up
Special occasion dresses call for a little extra, go the extra mile and complete a look with
shoes, makeup, accessories, hair, the works, never half ass any look, Dressing up
speaks about us. let them be words of love and admiration.
Personal style.
Your look is unique. embrace it, your curves, your hair color, your skin color,
shape, eyes, height, everything and whatever it
may be. love it. you are an artist and your own pallet paint something everyday.
change is great, often duplicated. Versatility is a complement.
ITs TIME we DRESSEd UP.
