Fashionable Books For any BookWorm
Yesterday while I was Re-Organizing my book shelf I started to dust off some
of my all time favorite finds. I love to read and finding books about fashion is like finding gold for me. below are my four all time favorite books and a little
description for each.
Whatever your craft is, books are filled with information and history about
all the topics we love, to me all these books on life style, fashion, make up
and wardrobe are like instructional pamphlets, they guide me to find
my own flavor in what i do, they serve as inspiration and make me feel more
confident about what i do.
How to walk in High Heels By Camila Morton
The Little Black Book of Style and The One Hundred By Nina Garcia
The Goddess Guide By Gisele Scanlon
My very first books that got me hooked on fashion and started my "Education" in this world!
The Goddess Guide By Gisele Scanlon
This book is filled with the "Basics" a great book to begin reading if your new to all this,
describes everything from different shoe styles, to showing you how to differentiate from
materials, clothing silluetes, brand names and tips on how to bring your style to life.
Gisele Scanlon is an amazing writer, this book is a collection of her travels and a sum of everything
she's learned about this lovely thing we call fashion. Detailed, Organized, Fun and full of
information that every stylish girl needs!
How to Walk in High Heels By Camila Morton
"A Girls Guide To Everything"
The dedication reads, " For aspiring Cinderellas everywhere..to John and Manolo who
opened Pandora's Box for Me" and if you didn't guess shes thanking the amazing John Galliano and Manolo Blahnik, and if you don't know who those two great men are, you need to buy this
book and research your designers! This book is a great "How To" book, it touches every subject from Walking in High Heels, to Getting ready in 5 minutes, finding your right size and every other little question you might have lingering in your mind and might be a little afraid to ask.
This book is the PERFECT encyclopedia to any girl beginning to find herself.
The Little Black Book of Style and The One Hundred by Nina Garcia
If you read ELLE magazine or watch Bravo's Project Runway, you know who I'm Talking about.
The wonderful Nina Garcia takes us through the Essentials of Fashion, getting to know your Personal style, Tips and Tricks and all the Basics you need in your closet. She Talks about
her life and what her inspirations are and how they have intertwined her roots into the wonderful world of Fashion. In her second book "The One Hundred" she lays out the foundation of what you should have in your closet, how to mix and match, a little history about each special piece and tons of other little tips. Both books are filled with great quotes by artists, musicians, and great people of our time, with the Illustrations by Ruben Toledo its a perfect combination!
