being random.

Yesterday, I was supposed to go to Pasay to have my picture taken for that registration whatever, but then my Mum told me not to cuz no one might be available to accompany me to the City Hall like what happened last week. So there, we just went to St. Michael’s Church at PAO-Ville to, of course, hear mass. Just want to share some a few of Father’s sermons:

“Life is like playing cards, it doesn’t matter how good your cards are, what matters is how you play them.” -- Nice noh?

He also told a story…

Father was originally assigned to the 6th Battalion in South Cotabato, but then he was asked to come here in Manila (I dunno why). He arrived last Thursday on board the Super Ferry. We all know that there was a storm last week, right? But their trip wasn’t cancelled, so off they went. At 3a (Wednesday), he woke up cuz of the shouting of some of the passengers on the lower deck. Water was coming in the ship. Not that they were sinking or anything. The waves were really enormous, that’s why. He went out of his room and was really surprised to see all the calm faces of the ship’s crew. He asked one of them, “Aren’t you nervous?” The guy answered, “Hindi po Father, kase handa kame. Alam po namen ang gagawin namen.” Wow.

What the priest was trying to pertain is: We should all be prepared cuz we don’t know how and when we are going to die. You may find it simple, but it’s not.

Kam and I sort of had an argument while the others were having their communion. It was about Father’s homily. He mentioned something about ‘doing things in accordance to the WILL of God’. She said that God’s WORDS and WILL are just the same. I said ‘no’ cuz Word is salita, while Will is kagustuhan, right? She was still claiming that they’re the same cuz God’s words are, at the same time, His will. Their difference is that His words are spoken, while His will is written on Sacred Scriptures. I shut up. End of argument. I still think they’re different though.

Moving on… a while ago, in school, we had a test in Poligov and… I think I almost failed. Not that I wasn’t able to study. We’re asked to have with us a copy of the Philippine Constitution cuz it’ll serve as a guide for us. Unfortunately, I left mine at home. So, I tried to borrow one from the LRC (Learning Resource Center) -- that’s how we call our library. Anyway, “kuya” didn’t allow me to borrow cuz I have an overdue book. What the? The book is due today so technically, it isn’t overdue yet, right? Whatever. It just so happened that I left it at home. I was really begging him to let me borrow it even for just an hour cuz we have a quiz, but he was firm in saying ‘NO’. Sweet no?

That’s what I hate about Mondays. I tend to forget almost everything, even my ID. Speaking of which, alam niyo ba, 2 minor offense nalang and I’ll have 1 major offense na? Haha! And it’s all because of my effin ID. Here’s the rule kase: 7 minors = 1 major. I’ve had 5 minor offenses already: left ID (4x), and 1 violation of the dress code. I have no idea that we aren’t allowed to wear torn jeans. Haha! :p

So there… Bye.

Don't forget to smile! :)
-XOXO-
