Guess what? I’m finally over my Moussaka fixation!
This morning I attended a friend’s function at the Angelo King Internation Center, our school’s hotel (yes, we’re cool like that. haha!). Anyhoo, this week their theme is Mediterranean, one of my favorite cuisine. Can you imagine eating a full course meal for just Php250.00 ($5.81)?? Yes, I have to say that every single penny was worth it.
Anyway, here’s their menu:
For the appetizer I had Pita Bread with Hummus
I didn’t like this that much cuz the Hummus was too oily, and the Pita Bread was a bit burnt and dry.
This was followed by a Greek Salad with Feta Cheese
One of my favorites, as a matter of fact.
My entrée was, of course, my all time favorite: Moussaka
And yes, it was HEAVENLY! I liked it too much I even ask my friend to save some for me. Haha.
Another option for their entrée was Skewered Fish with Garlic Sauce
K had this dish, and boy did she make the wrong decision. Turns out the fish weren’t fresh, so her tongue and throat got swollen. Poor, K. Haha. She’s allergic to “slimy” and undercooked foods, you see.
And for dessert, I had Baklava with Turkish Delight Ice Cream
Definitely a treat for my taste buds, although the Baklava was a tad too sweet.
They also served this yummy Mango Coconut Fizz
YUMMY!!
All in all, their function was superb. I had fun eating Greek food whilst watching Mr. Bean the Movie. Haha! Next week’s function would be German-themed, but I’m not sure if I’d be coming or not cuz I’m not into German food.
Hope you guys liked my food blog. ANTM post coming in a few!
